Checking Arch Linux ISO with checksum txt files.![]() ![]() Which Linux Iso Download File Do I Verify My Computer
The Arch Wiki Beginner's Guide instructs me to check the integrity of the ISO by invoking sha1sum. Specifically, it says: Download game gratis untuk laptop.

cd to the directory where the downloaded files have been placed, and invoke sha1sum: $ sha1sum --check name_of_checksum_file.txt
These instructions appear to be intended for a user who is already using the command line in linux. I don't have Arch installed yet..hence, the ISO download. How do I, running on Windows XP, confirm the ISO download in windows? Are these instructions intended for DOS? I wouldn't think so, but then I can't imagine why the wiki would give me instructions to carry out in a Linux environment before I even installed Linux. Brother tn 420 driver download pc.

I'm sorry if this sounds like a silly question, but I really don't know how to check the integrity of the ISO download in Windows using the .txt files. Any help would be appreciated. The alternative would be to proceed to install without verifying..but it would be nice to know that the file is not corrupted beforehand in the event of any future trouble shooting.
